I had a teacher ask me the other day if they could show a Prezi without an internet connection. I didn’t know, so today I did some messing around. I knew that they could be downloaded, but I wasn’t sure how they would work on the computer.
To put it short, it worked great.
Now for the longer version. On the right hand side of your Prezi in view mode, there are four tabs, one of which is “Download.” I clicked on the download tab, and saved the file to my computer. They file is a zip, so it is important to unzip the file before the Prezi can be used. However, after unzipping the file and clicking on the Flash icon in the folder, the Prezi opened up and ran just like it did when coming from the web.
Just what a teacher needs when the computer won’t connect and there is a group of rowdy students waiting to learn.
