In my last post, I mentioned that a Prezi can be downloaded and saved to the computer as a flash file. I got to thinking that this means that a Prezi can also be embedded in a Smart Notebook file adding another dimension to a lesson. This would be a great way to integrate a cool presentation into a lesson that has already been planned on the smartboard. Here are some examples of how this might be done:
1. Science: In a lesson on the scientifice method, a Prezi could be shown that goes through the steps of the scientific method in detail.
2. Social Studies: A lesson on Capetown, South Africa could be spruced up with an virtual tour of the city done with Prezi.
3. English: In a lesson on making inferences, a Prezi could be included showing how an inference is made, step by step, with pictures and text combined. That is the cool thing about Prezi.
4. Math: Instead of just showing how to do a problem on the board, shake it up a bit with a Prezi that goes through the steps of solving the problem in a “real world” setting.
This is just the start of what could be done with Prezi when used along with the Smart Notebook software. Honestly, these examples probably aren’t all that great. If you can think of a good way to use Prezi on the Smart Board as a part of lesson, let us know in the comments.
